Daily Trail Riding
” There is nothing better for the inside of a man than the outside of a horse” ~ Winston Churchill. The Triangle C is nestled against the Shoshone National forrest and has access to some of the most beautiful scenery in the country. Trail Rides head out every morning and afternoon or enjoy an all day ride with a picnic lunch.
Horsemanship Demos
As one of the country’s leading Horsemen and clinicians Chris Cox and his apprentices share their knowledge and passion of connecting and communicating with their equine partners. Enjoy an inspirational, entertaining and educational evening at the arena watching a Professional Horsemanship Demonstration.
Archery
Have fun practicing your skills with a
bow and arrow. See if you can hit
the bullseye.
Rodeos
Get a glimpse into the past of a working ranch. Many rodeo events were based on the tasks required by cattle ranching and of course the competition soon after began. The Triangle C Ranch is a proud sponsor of the Dubios Rodeo, owners Chris, Barbara, Charley and Case Cox as well as the Ranch Wranglers compete in a 10 week Rodeo Series held every Friday night June 14 – August 23. Join in on the fun and cheer on the Triangle C Cowboys and Cowgirls!
Fishing
The Wind River winds through the Ranch below the main lodge. Fishing and fly fishing is spectacular in this area with multiple lakes, rivers and streams available nearby with many different species from Cutthroat, Rainbow Trout, Brook Trout, Kokanee Salmon, Grayling, Walleye and many more. A fishing license is required and can be purchased in the main lodge or in Dubois. Let one of our knowledgable staff members share their techniques of fly fishing while relaxing and unwinding!
Swimming in the Wind River
A breathtaking view of nature at its best with a refreshing feel. Skip some rocks or just kick back and relax while the water flows on by you.
Hiking
The Triangle C Ranch is located in Wind River Country near the Wind River Mountain Range, with epic day hikes available including Lake Louise, Glacier Trail, Stough Creek Basin, Silas Canyon, Island Lake and on of the most popular Jade Lake Hike. Come for an amazing adventure in the great outdoors at Triangle C Ranch!
Skeet Shooting
Enjoy the recreational activity using a
shotgun to attempt to break clay
targets overlooking the majestic
river. Safety is always a priority and
our staff is well trained.
Campfires
Join us for a majestic time around one of our campfires. It is easy to be mesmerized by a campfire’s dancing colors – yellow, orange, red, blue, violet and even green at times. The ever changing character from energetically youthful flames to glowing and mellowing coals. This will transport you to a simpler time.
Cookouts
Step your foot into the stirrup and ride of into the Sunrise towards the Pinnacle Mountain Range and ride into the meadow for a Breakfast Cookout. The “Steak-Cookout” Ride consist of a beautiful trail ride ending in the meadow at sunset for a steak dinner!
Western Dancing
Every Tuesday evening throughout the summer the Rustic Pine Bar and Tavern hosts an evening of Square Dancing. Come and kick up your heels and enjoy a great western tradition!
Cowboy Poetry
After a day of work, cowboys would gather around a campfire and entertain one another with tall tales and folk songs. Join us for some cowboy poetry, a form of spoken art packed full western heritage.

National Parks*
You don’t want to miss out on seeing the natural history and beauty of the parks. Experience it for yourself! The dramatic canyons, alpine rivers, paint pots, lush forests, hot springs, the Grand Prismatic, and gushing geysers, including its most famous, Old Faithful.
ATV Rentals*
Want to be a trail blazer? Rent ATV’s from local vendors in Dubois and take on the trails for yourself. Take in the entire scenery and maybe even do a little animal watching. The possibilities are endless.

History and Culture
There are so many things to see and do in the area. Learn about the history of the Upper Wind River Valley located in Dubois. Check out the National Museum of Miliary Vehicles or the Dubois and Big Horn Museums.
